'A KIND OF TRIBUTE TO JOHN CAGE' is a work realized during the laboratory of Ecology of Sound directed by Francesco Giannico in a project curated by the "LAB LIB" organization with the help of italian and international musicians.
The track combines music composed mostly by childrens and youngsters. They built physically a chaotic mini orchestra. The word "chaotic" means that the music is composed with audio samples recorded from unconventional instruments, recycled found objects like plastic bags, pots, toys, etc., played by the orchestra trying to follow the basic idea of the famous video "Water Walk" by John Cage. Then these sounds were processed through two overdubs: first, through sounds collected during a workshop in acoustic ecology; second, other sub-overdubs, musical contributions of national and international artists.
