Afterlife - a portrait of life beyond meaning

AFTERLIFE is a portrait of human life as an utopian afterlife: A life beyond meaning, without ambition, wishes, expectations, and exempt of desire - a life with no destination, a life as mere being, and maybe consequently a life possesing a particular presence.
Through four rooms a possible life of this purposeless man is presented in five different media: text, photography, video, sound, and object.
AFTERLIFE is a collaboration between photographer Sofie Amalie Klougart, film director Cæcilie Østerby Sørensen, and Nielsen, former head of Das Beckwerk - a transnational artistic enterprise.

The Exhibition is supported by The Danish Arts Council and AV-Huset
