Exhibition
With autumn as the exhibition space, we present our third exhibition at the former psychiatric hospital, Sct. Hans, titled In the Darkness, We Ask the Sun to Remember us.
This time, the audience is invited on a walk through the recreational landscape of Sct. Hans Garden, where 12 works by 13 both Danish and international artists become part of the nature in the many oases of Sct. Hans Garden.
The works explore, in their own ways, the human connection to nature and directly address the anxiety about climate change and the care for nature that increasingly resides within us all. In a sensory and poetic manner, we are reminded to slow down and dwell on how we can repair our relationship with nature, ourselves, and each other.
The exhibition is divided into two phases:
Phase 1: The larder is full, and the works are presented in their initial stage. This phase runs from August 28 to October 20.
Phase 2: The works have undergone a process with nature in gradual states of composting and dormancy. This phase can be experienced from October 20 to December 21.
Total exhibition period: August 28 – December 21, 2024.
Artists: Annie Sprinkle, Beth Stephens & Dann Disciglio, Maria Finn & Jacob Kamp, Sidsel Bonde, Ida Raselli, Sandra SK Amoabeng, Johanne Hestvold, Tabita Rezaire & Yussef Agbo-Ola, Fabrizio Terranova, Kim Richard Adler Mejdahl.
