For children
Contemporary art for children
We provide the perfect setting for children to explore our permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. The museum prepares relevant information material for both children and adults, which is presented in the information wagon Art a la Carte. This includes anything from written information about the exhibitions and artists to drawing aids, sound recordings and books. The information material provides new perspectives on the featured art and arouses children’s imagination and curiosity through a variety of games, creative assignments and role-play. Children can use these materials with their parents, grandparents and others who wish to explore the museum and its art.
Workshops for children and families
The museum runs workshops for children and their families. These workshops are inspired by the exhibition at the time or by the way in which contemporary art uses various media such as video, photography and sound. The museum holds workshops in collaboration with Sjov Ferie (run by Roskilde municipality) during school holidays.
